Easy Naan Bread

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, yogurt, and cumin seeds. Season with a pinch of salt. Use your hands to mix everything together until a dough forms.
  2. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll or stretch each piece into a flatbread about 0.5 centimeters thick.
  3. Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Spray the pan with cooking spray.
  4. Add the naan breads to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the crushed garlic.
  6. Brush the cooked naan breads with the garlic butter and sprinkle with chopped coriander, if using.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite curry or other dishes.

Tips:

  1. You can use whole wheat flour for a more nutritious option.
  2. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour, one tablespoon at a time, until it becomes manageable.
  3. You can also cook the naan breads in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 5-7 minutes per side.
  4. For freezing, cook the naan breads as instructed, then let them cool completely. Wrap them individually in plastic wrap and store in the freezer for up
  5. to 3 months. Reheat in a pan or oven until warmed through.
