Healthy Homemade Cola Gummy Sweets (Sugar-Free Recipe)

Instructions

1. Defizz the Cola

Pour the zero-sugar cola into a small saucepan. Place it over gentle, low heat and whisk continuously for a few minutes. This releases the carbonation and removes the fizz so your gummies set perfectly flat. Do not let the liquid boil.

2. Infuse the Flavors

Turn the heat to its lowest setting. Stir in the sugar-free lemon squash, making sure it is fully incorporated into the warm cola.

3. Dissolve the Gelatine

Slowly sprinkle the gelatine powder into the saucepan, a little at a time, while whisking vigorously. Continuous whisking prevents lumps from forming. Keep stirring until the gelatine granules have completely dissolved into the liquid, then remove the pan from the heat.

4. Finish the Blend

Stir in the fresh lemon juice, lime juice, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and citric acid. Give the mixture one final, thorough whisk to ensure the spices and citric acid are evenly distributed.

5. Pour and Set

Carefully pour the liquid into silicone candy molds, mini bear shapes, or standard ice cube trays. Place the molds in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes, or until the gummies are completely firm and set.

6. Demold and Serve

Gently pop the gummies out of their silicone molds.

Optional Tangy Twist: For an extra sour, fizzy candy experience, lightly dust the finished gummies with an extra pinch of citric acid (no more than ½ tsp for the whole batch) right after removing them from the molds.
