Sticky Gingerbread Traybake

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the golden syrup, black treacle, and sunflower oil in a large bowl. Stir until well combined.
  3. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and then gradually add them to the wet ingredients, mixing well.
  4. Sift the self-raising flour, ground ginger, and baking powder into the bowl. Fold together until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking tray and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Leave to cool completely in the tin before cutting into squares.
  8. Enjoy your low-treat!
