Instructions:
- Boil the water in a saucepan.
- Add the sliced ginger to the boiling water.
- Lower the heat and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Strain into a glass or jar.
- Add the lemon juice if desired.
Warnings:
- Do not overconsume ginger, as large quantities may cause heartburn, abdominal cramps, or diarrhea in some individuals.
- The recommended daily amount usually does not exceed 4 grams of ginger for adults.
