Follow these simple steps for perfectly crispy, oven-baked chicken nuggets:

1. Prep the Oven and Pan

  • Preheat your oven to 200° C fan  180° C gas mark 6.

  • Line a baking sheet with non-stick baking parchment.

  • Lightly spray the parchment with low-calorie cooking spray to prevent sticking.

2. Make the Crispy Coating

 

  • In a food processor, whizz the torn wholemeal roll pieces until you achieve fine, even breadcrumbs.

  • Transfer the wholemeal crumbs to a shallow bowl.

  • Stir in the 1 tsp of mustard powder and 2 tsp of dried mixed herbs. Mix thoroughly until the crumbs are fragrant and evenly seasoned.
