Simple Air Fryer Salmon with Potatoes and Vegetables

Instructions

1. Prepare the Potatoes

  1. Wash the baby new potatoes thoroughly.
  2. Place the potatoes in a saucepan, cover with cold water, and add a pinch of salt.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes, or until they are fork-tender.
  4. Drain the potatoes and set aside.

2. Prepare the Vegetables

  1. While the potatoes are cooking, prepare the baby corn and mangetout.

You can boil or steam the vegetables:

  1. Boiling/Steaming: Place the baby corn and mangetout in boiling water or a steamer basket for 3–5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  2. Drain the vegetables immediately and keep warm.

3. Cook the Salmon (Air Fryer)

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Lightly spray the salmon fillets with oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket (do not overlap).
  4. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque in the center and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Note: Cooking time may vary based on the thickness of the fillets.

4. Prepare the Hollandaise Sauce

  1. Follow the instructions on your specific Hollandaise Sauce sachet.
  2. Typically, you will combine the sauce powder with 300 ml skimmed milk in a small saucepan.
  3. Heat the mixture gently, whisking continuously, until the sauce thickens and reaches a creamy consistency.

5. Assemble and Serve

  1. Place the cooked salmon fillet on each plate.
  2. Arrange the cooked baby new potatoes, baby corn, and mangetout alongside the salmon.
  3. Spoon a generous amount of the Hollandaise sauce over the salmon.
  4. Garnish with a sprinkle of chopped fresh chives, if using.
  5. Serve immediately.
